Training small groups - Profiling the learner 

Training is vital in today's business environment to develop a competent, stable, and well led workforce.

However, before recommending training, there are a number of factors that must be considered.

*Previous skills, work experience. qualifications & training

*LLN - Language - Literacy - Numeracy Skills

*Any special needs, eg disability or cultural

*Special needs of learners from Non-English speaking backgrounds

*Capacity of the learners to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes

*Whether the learners will be able to practice their skills in the workplace to improve and stay current

*The learners current and future goals.

If the above issues are considered, there should be no need to hear the phrase we are all accustomed to hearing on training courses. "I don't know why I'm here."
